Seminarbeschreibung

Have you got an important speech coming up? You want to make it the best presentation you have ever delivered? Presenting at an international conference or meeting can be a particular challenge, especially for non-native speakers. In this workshop, you will learn how you will build confidence on stage to highlight your expertise.
For delivering successful speeches, we will address the following aspects:

• Speech structure: Attract attention and share your take-home message
• Advance in the discussion: Engage your audience
• Tell your science story and create visual images
• How to add power to your PowerPoint slides
• Deliver your poster presentation

We will discuss presentation do’s and don’ts and apply useful examples of common English phrases. Bring your own speech and present it either free, with PowerPoint, as Poster or by Flipchart. You will receive specific feedback to your presentation.
You will get some initial food for thought prior to the first seminar by a short video and an online survey. Input quickies with blog articles and small tasks are provided between the two seminar dates. Online chats allow for ongoing exchange within the group. The second meeting will take place online on Zoom. After a short exchange of experiences, you will test a quick summary of your presentation.

Wie funktioniert das Online-Seminar?
Wir arbeiten mit Zoom. Dafür laden Sie Zoom vorab kostenfrei herunter. Sie können mit dem Tablet, Laptop oder PC teilnehmen, mit dem Smartphone sind die Anzeigen sehr klein, sodass das nicht empfehlenswert ist.
Wichtig ist, dass alle mit Kamera und Audio dabei sind, da es sich um ein interaktives Online-Seminar in einer überschaubaren Gruppe handelt.
15 min. vor Start öffnen wir den Online-Seminar-Raum zum Ankommen.
